LPC Trading is family-owned business with a poultry farm located in Bendick Murrell, which is between Young and Cowra. Position Overview
As a Poultry Farm Hand, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our farm. Your responsibilities will include caring for laying hens, ensuring a clean and healthy environment, and actively participating in the egg production process.
Key Responsibilities
* Feeding, watering, and monitoring the health of laying hens.
* Collecting, cleaning, and packaging eggs according to quality standards.
* Conducting routine inspections to identify and address any issues with equipment or facilities.
* Assisting in the maintenance of farm infrastructure and equipment.
* Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient farm operations.
* Adhering to biosecurity measures to maintain a disease-free environment.
About you
Must not have access to any type of bird or pig in their own residence for quarantine purposes and is a condition of employment.
Previous experience in poultry farming or a related field is a plus but not required if you are willing to learn.
Individuals should be physically fit and able to perform tasks such as walking for extended periods, lifting and bending.
Many tasks require collaboration with other team-members and working unsupervised. The ability to work as a team and individual is valuable.
You will have the ability to adapt to various farm responsibilities such as cleaning, maintenance and record keeping.
The nature of farm work often involves routines and consistency. A strong work ethic is essential for the well-being of the animals and success of the farm.
