 
        
        **Festivals and Events Officer - Dandenong, VIC**

**Salary -**Salary is offered in the range $85k to $95k plus superannuation per annum.
**Location -**Dandenong, VIC
Reporting to the Coordinator Festivals and events, the responsibilities of this exciting role will include: 
**Plan, develop and implement high quality festivals and events including**:
- Ensure the provision of all equipment (such as audio-visual equipment, catering) in a timely manner. 
- Provide specialist advice, liaise and support to the internal Council Departments delivering Council festivals and events as required and build partnerships and active participation in Council-led festivals and events. 
- Direct the work of relevant contractors and liaise with the operational staff (e.g., site manager, safety officer, etc.) at Council festivals and events as required. 
- Provide induction process to all event contractors, external stakeholders, staff, and volunteers to cover duties and tasks and all required Occupational Health and Safety requirements for the event and the site. 
- Provide event support 
- Oversee critical administrative tasks (including related to each event. 
- Plan and then participate in community and other events as required. 
- Coordinate volunteer efforts at Council events 
- Develop sponsorship proposals. 
- Other related administrative duties which might extend to contractor cost control and their service delivery.
**To be considered for this role you should be able to positively address the following attributes**:
- Possess relevant post-secondary qualifications to at least Diploma level or equivalent. 
- At least 3 years (preferably more) of highly relevant experience in a similar environment. 
- Possess a valid Victorian Driver's License. 
- Possess (or be willing to acquire) relevant licenses, registrations, and certificates including, but not limited to, Working with Children's Check, Police Check, and First Aid and CPR (Level II) Certificate. 
- Demonstrate interest in the field having regard to prior employment or community engagement. 
- Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with interested stakeholders (large and small) across Council and external parties. 
- Well-developed time management skills.
**You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights.**
