News Corp Australia seeks a talented and motivated Digital Content Editor with strong experience in marketing, ready to step up their career
The writer will work directly with Prestige's digital director and other staff to develop, write,and optimise stories on a daily basis.
The role requires an understanding of how News Prestige titles' broad interests in luxury,
style and beyond lend themselves to engaging product recommendation stories, and will be able to develop fresh ideas, focus on SEO best practices, and imbue pieces with both voice and expertise. You have enthusiasm for culture and style in particular, with knowledge of both the fashion and e-tail landscape.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Write sharp, lively content on a daily basis to contribute towards the performance of Vogue, GQ, Vogue Living and The Australian's websites.
- Work with News Prestige E-Commerce editor and site editors to achieve editorial
excellence with a focus on voice, authority, and humour.
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure that content is adequately promoted through effective social media strategy, video, homepage placement, newsletters, and syndication relationships.
- Liaise with market editors, external PR, and other contacts, and travel for the brands on occasion.
- Constantly look for new ways to present stories to News Prestige readers
**What is the role?**
- Contributing a set number of stories per day for relevant sections, as discussed in a morning WIP.
- Liaise with the title editor to drive campaign traffic on-site.
- During "off" periods, writing long-form features under the guidance of Digital Editors.
- Staying abreast of cultural and luxury news in order to populate appropriate content to the L&L and Prestige sections in a timely and sometimes breaking manner
- Write, where required, commercial or branded content for the GQ and L&L section.
- Remain accountable for all campaign traffic and deliver goals.
- Creating SEO-optimised titles, lengthening copy, changing images, and adding subheadings, links, and keywords.
- Optimising mid-performing content to improve SEO ranking.
**Who are you?**
- Experience in delivering news fast and accurately.
- A detail-orientated writer and experience in E-Commerce writing is desirable
- Implement SEO best practices with knowledge armed to implement and tweak SEO strategy when required.
- Experienced social media expertise. You're across ever-changing cultural trends and
- news from major social media outlets
- Experience in delivering commercial campaigns through an editorial lens
