selectability is looking for a passionate and motivated casual Senior Youth Worker to join our growing team in Mackay
Our youth residential program provides accommodation and intensive support to children and young people who have a variety of needs.
About you
possess clear and effective communication skills
demonstrate computer literacy and accuracy in record management
ability to lead and mentor a team
exhibit an ability to problem solve
be able to always follow policies and procedures
be able to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals

willingness to perform after hours on call through a rostered system
flexible to work across a 24 / 7 roster
Role requirements
must have a minimum of Cert IV qualification recognised under the child safety minimum qualification standards (or willing to actively study)
possess the certification in Hope and Healing for residential care (ability to obtain)
a current minimum P1 C class Queensland drivers licence
a currently registered roadworthy and fully comprehensive insured vehicle
first Aid and CPR certificates (ability to obtain)
a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (ability to obtain)
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (ability to obtain)
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Quality Safety & You
