About the Role
The Innovative Planet Research Institute (IPRI) is seeking a driven and forward‐thinking Research Fellow to contribute to cutting‐edge advancements in Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT), quantum sensors, and estimation theory. This is a full‐time, fixed‐term position until September 2027 located in Hawthorn, with an academic level B plus 17% superannuation and attractive staff benefits.
Responsibilities
* Demonstration of relevant experience in the field of PNT/Sensor technologies.
* Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and proactively as part of a multi‐disciplinary and multi‐institution research team, as well as proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
* Ability to contribute to research projects including identifying and tracking milestones, reporting on progress, and identifying barriers to completion.
* Demonstrated written and oral communication skills for scholarly publications, technical reports and project documentation, including with industry/non‐research‐based partners.
* Experience in writing high‐quality publications in international journals and grant applications.
Qualifications
* PhD in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Signal Processing, Sensor Fusion, PNT or a related field, or a combination of a PhD with extensive experience in one of these fields.
