SSS Prosthetics and Orthotics is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a permanent experienced clinician at its Townsville facility. SSS is locally owned and operated, servicing the needs of North Queenslanders' for over 20 years.
Qualifications & experience
* Minimum of 3 years' clinical experience
* Current AOPA Membership
* Current, or ability to obtain both a Blue Card and a NDIS Worker Screening Clearence
* Strong technical skills essential to effectively lead and support technicians
* Proficient in clinical analysis
* Be highly motivated to develop their skills in the P & O
* Must adhere to companies quality management, health and safety systems and policies
* Client focused in every aspect of their work
* Must be able to work effectively in a team environment, whilst demonstrating the ability to manage your own time, and work efficiently independently
* Willingness to take on responsibility
Tasks & responsibilities
* Prescription, design, manufacturing fitting and review of custom made Orthoses/ Prostheses
* Manufacturing of Orthoses/ Prostheses
* Attend clinics as required
* Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
* Participate in CPD events
* Educate clinicians from other backgrounds about the role of Orthotist's
* Be able to successfully fit all types of Orthoses to a high standard and arranging follow-up appointments where appropriate, to re assess clinical outcomes and effectiveness.
* Maintain accurate clinical and technical notes to be able to justify clinical decisions.
