Parks Supervisor Local Gov
**Your new company**
Hays are looking for an experienced Parks Supervisor to support a major Perth Local Government on a temporary basis. This is a 6 week leave cover with possibility of extension.
**Your current role**
Reporting to the Coordinator Parks Services, you will be responsible for operational functions to maximise the environmental and amenity value of the City's parks and civic gardens. Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Supervising all maintenance activities relevant to general turf and horticultural management
- Monitoring health conditions of turfed areas and civic gardens, and assessing required treatment plans to maintain high quality presentation
- Contractor and team management
- Assisting with planning and delivery of minor capital projects
- Financial management of operational budgets
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Cert III or above in Horticulture
- Current "C" Class Driver's License
- Industry White Card
- Demonstrated experience in horticultural field and plant species management
