About the role:
You will be the first point of contact for young people and their families making use of the service.
This role is about creating excellent rapport, identifying the support the young person needs and collating the initial information.
Reporting to the Centre Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting young people to access services and providing coordination of care to meet individual needs;
- Developing a clear understanding of your clients through case formulation and assessment;
- Collaborating with the team to implement access to information and a range of culturally-sensitive activities for youth;
- Conducting intake assessments and initial risk assessments;
- Coordinating services with other allied health services in the region;
- Providing therapeutic support to young people under professional supervision and delivering brief interventions; and
- Participating in community events and advocacy that builds the profile and accessibility of the centre.
About you:
This role is suited to someone who is ready to be at the centre of health care support for young people.
You may have a mix of qualifications and experience from an allied health background and ideally have some background in providing mental health supports and/or working with young people.
You will also require a:
- Drivers licence;
- Police check; and
- Valid Working with Children check (Blue Card).
