CommBank's Global Lending team provides Corporate Lending Operations, support, and loan management for the Institutional Banking & Market and Business Banking portfolios. The team manages operations processing, establishes lending facilities, and oversees their management through the entire process.
The team is responsible for managing direct customer relations, processing Corporate Loan Administration, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, delivering exceptional service, and providing expert advice on Syndicate or Bilateral loans, including loan terms, deal execution, loan management, and risk management.
The Role.
You will contribute to servicing Institutional, Corporate & Business Banking clients by managing Syndicate or Bilateral loan administration within a corporate and Business Bank lending portfolio. Your responsibilities include managing requests and queries related to establishment and maintenance of facilities such as Cash Advance, Overdraft, Bank Guarantee, and Multi Option Facilities.
You will facilitate new transaction execution by engaging with upstream and downstream teams to establish accounts for funding, building strong relationships with stakeholders including Relationship Management, Product Management, Risk, Origination, and Operations teams to ensure excellent client service.
This is a 12-month Max Term or secondment opportunity for internal team members.
On any given day you will:
* Manage bilateral or Syndicate lending relationships, handling inquiries related to various facilities.
* Facilitate and implement complex lending transactions in unique Institutional Banking systems.
* Interpret and extract legal documentation to upload to relevant systems.
* Provide 'life of loan' support, including confirmation of CPs, first drawdowns, prepayments, terminations, and maintenance per the facility agreement.
* Calculate facility fees, prepare invoices, review calculations, and follow up on payments.
* Maintain accurate client records within the Deal Management System for audit purposes.

Excellent attention to detail with experience in Analytical work, Corporate Loans, Commercial Loans, or Complex Lending. Ability to prioritize, build relationships with stakeholders, and work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
This role offers a great opportunity to learn about corporate loans and operational support throughout the loan lifecycle, combining operational and analytical tasks.
You will also have:
* Strong analytical skills and knowledge of Corporate Loans, Commercial Lending Operations, or Syndicated/Bilateral lending processes.
* A commercial focus with the ability to analyze loan and facility agreements.
* The capacity to collaborate within a team and contribute to a dynamic environment, as well as work autonomously.
