Strategic Procurement Lead Role Overview

The Strategic Procurement role plays a pivotal part in driving business value through effective procurement practices.

This involves developing long-term procurement strategies to align with business objectives, analyzing market trends, supplier landscapes, and identifying opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

* Developing long-term procurement strategies, providing expert advice, and analyzing market trends.
* Overseeing the procurement process, managing contracts, ensuring compliance, and maintaining supplier relationships.
* Implementing procurement strategies, managing purchase orders, executing contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

* Diploma-level qualifications in procurement, supply chain, or contractual law.
* Excellent influencing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Working experience in a computerized ERP environment, preferably IFS.
* 10+ years of Supply Chain/Procurement experience.
* CIPS qualifications in supply chain management.
