It also includes Right to Information and Information Privacy to make more information available to members of the community and support for the lawful management and handling of individuals' personal information.As Executive Assistant, you will provide high quality, confidential, efficient and effective executive support to the Executive Director in a complex and dynamic environment, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of the office.Key Responsibilities IncludeFoster and maintain a strong working relationship with the Executive Director, SCD Leadership team, the Office of the Deputy Director-General and other directorates on the Executive Director's behalf.Provide administration assistance to the Executive Director to support day to day activities, such as diary management, email management and travel bookings.Act as the first point of contact for the Executive Director and develop and maintain positive relationships with a range of stakeholders (both internal and external) to manage and resolve issues.Manoeuvre through the organisation to achieve outcomes through formal channels and informal networks.Prepare briefs, correspondence and undertake additional relevant tasks on behalf of the Executive Director as required to assist with the effective operation of the Directorate.Quality assure all material presented to the Executive Director to ensure departmental standards are met.Work with a high degree of autonomy using initiative and judgement to resolve immediate problems.Deal professionally with sensitive and confidential issues that arise.Participate as a member of the team, provide high levels of customer service to both internal and external clients, and contribute effectively to the achievement of Directorate outcomes.At the request of the Executive Director, provide executive support to the SCD leadership team including coordinating event facilities, travel management, administration and records management.Actively participate in the promotion of a discrimination-free workplace culture that values equity and diversity.About The TeamThe Office of the Executive Director, Strategic Communications and Data is a small team that provides high quality, confidential, efficient and effective executive support to the Executive Director in a complex and dynamic environment, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of the office.How To ApplySubmit your resume and a short statement (no more than 2 pages) outlining your ability to undertake the responsibilities and requirements as outlined in the ‘How you will be assessed' section of the relevant position description.The role of Executive Assistant is aligned with the Individual Contributor leadership stream in the Leadership competencies for Queensland.Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.
