Job Description:
Our team is responsible for delivering various functions in support of the ACT government, including nature conservation policy, heritage conservation policy and regulation, environment protection policy, catchment management, water policy delivery, water regulation, conservation research and evaluation, management of parks and reserves, fire and forest management, and biosecurity policy and delivery.
The division also supports ACT NRM and ACT Heritage.
**The Team**
We coordinate, administer, and deliver effective corporate and business management functions across the Environment, Heritage, and Water Division. We have strong collaborative links with senior directors, managers, and administration staff across the environment portfolio.
**The Role**
As a Government Business Officer, you will report to the Senior Director - Business Manager and work closely with the EGM and other senior directors to provide administrative support functions. This includes preparing ministerial replies, briefs, constituent inquiries, and questions on notice.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate high-level communication skills, including managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, writing quality responses, and advising, negotiating, and consulting to gain input.
**Eligibility/Other Requirements**: Knowledge of government business processes, particularly ministerial procedures, would be beneficial.
