Remuneration
Base salary $174,034, plus leave loading and employer superannuation contribution. Total remuneration package valued at $197,241.
Overview
South Grafton High School is a rural, comprehensive, co‑educational high school serving 620 students, 64 teaching and 25 non‑teaching staff. About 32.5% of students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and many come from low SES backgrounds. The school has modern facilities including an agricultural farm, science laboratories, a Trade Training Centre for Construction, industry‑standard kitchens for Hospitality, and upgraded classroom teaching spaces.
The school offers an inclusive learning environment with six mainstream classes, an Intensive Learning Support (Mental Health) class, an Intensive Learning Support (Behaviour) class, a Transition Learning Centre, a Clontarf Academy for Aboriginal boys, and the STARS program for Aboriginal girls.

Qualifications
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
4. Well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
Conditions
Unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you must commence the application process concurrently with submitting this application.
