Applications are invited for the position of Water Meter Reader/Repairer, based at Council's Inverell Works Centre. The successful applicant will be responsible for the satisfactory execution of water meter reading, maintenance and repair programs within the whole of the Inverell Shire.
Applicants should address the following Selection Criteria:
Essential:
Qualifications
* NSW School Certificate or equivalent;
* NSW Class C Drivers Licence; and
* SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction Card ('White Card').
Desirable:
Qualifications
* NSW Class MR Drivers Licence;
* Backflow Prevention Certificate;
* Chainsaw Operators Certificate;
* Confined Spaces Certificate; and
* Traffic Control Work Training Card (SafeWork NSW) and/or Certification;
Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
The classification for the position will be up to Operational Band 1, Level 2, Grade 3. Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,054.57 to $1,119.38 gross per week. In addition, a Level 1 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance of $0.513 per hour will be paid where applicable.
In addition, an On-Call Allowance referred to in clause 20C of the Local Government (State) Award 2023 will be paid where applicable.
