We are on the search for our next AMAZING Barista! The Driftwood is not for the faint of heart, so we need someone that handle anything that is sent their way.

The Driftwood is a coastal cafe that has a roaring summer trade and a very loyal local following, maintaining a busy trade over winter. We have an emphasis on fresh, local produce and need fabulous coffee to match. The cafe can seat over 100 pax and on average go through 4kg of coffee during the week up to 6+kg on weekends.

We need someone who can handle multiple dockets on busy weekend shifts, whilst still maintaining quality. During quieter days, you will need be an \"all rounder\" and look after tables, take orders and serve food.

The skills you need are:-

* milk texturing
* latte art
* extracting the perfect shot
* adjusting the grind when necessary
* calm under pressure
* friendly, personable nature
* ability to work a till system
* carry 3 plates.

You will be responsible for:-

* day to day operation of the coffee machine, getting dockets out in a timely fashion
* keeping the barista station clean and tidy
* maintaining the coffee machine
* ordering coffee / teas / take away cups etc, everything the barista needs
* opening the cafe in the mornings
* taking orders & looking after guests.
