Job Summary

The Service Manager is a critical role within our hydropower business. Voith Hydro has established new service hubs worldwide, with Australia being a newly created service hub. The Service Manager develops relationships with customers at the plant level, identifies OPEX, CAPEX, Spares, Automation, and Digital opportunities to grow the Voith Service Business in Australia and New Zealand, prepares quotes, and manages the execution of assigned projects in conjunction with the HyService team.

Business Development Responsibilities

* Act as a Business Development advocate for all HyService opportunities (OPEX, CAPEX, AUTOMATION/DIGITAL, SPARES).
* Support the strategy and growth of the service region.
* Conduct frequent customer visits to generate growth and identify leads.
* Strengthen customer relationships and develop new customers.
* Drive the sales and marketing of new services and products.
* Support the regional service hub team.
* Manage opportunities in SalesForce.
* Develop winning OPEX proposals with the HyService Sales Manager.
* Support the HyService Sales Manager in developing proposals as required.
* Serve as the face of all HyService offerings (CAPEX, OPEX, SPARES, and AUTOMATION/DIGITAL) for customers.
* Liaise with and utilise the Voith internal network to successfully offer and execute projects.
* Manage the handed‐over warranty work.

Project Execution Responsibilities

* Serve as the face of HyService projects in the region for customers.
* Manage OPEX and SPARES projects in their region.
* Ensure delivery of projects to schedule, budget, quality, and EHS requirements.
* Coordinate an internal network of technical experts, engineers, and other key functions located in the back‐office and across Voith Hydro, as well as on‐site resources, contractors, and suppliers to successfully offer and execute service projects.
* Take responsibility for overall direct employee management during project execution.
* Support annual sales planning.
* Handle invoicing and collection of payment.

Personal Profile

The Service Manager is a self‐motivated, reliable and dynamic individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, capable of leveraging relationships to deliver high‐value products and services to our customers.

With 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role, the candidate brings sales experience and a proven leadership track record, showcasing a strong service mindset. A university diploma in engineering or equivalent industry experience provides a solid technical foundation.

Qualifications

* Deep technical knowledge of hydro turbines, generators, and balance‐of‐plant equipment.
* Strong analytical, problem‐solving, and issue‐resolution skills.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Exceptional organizational skills.
* Collaborative teamwork ability.
* Leadership and decision‐making capabilities.
* Attention to accuracy and detail.
* Highly developed report writing and technical capabilities.
* Ability to prioritize and efficiently complete multiple tasks within deadlines, even with minimal supervision.
* Computer literate in MS Office Suite; experience with SalesForce and SAP is an asset.

The Service Manager must be open to traveling up to 40% of the time, visiting various customer and project sites to ensure the delivery of exceptional service.

Reporting to the Head of Service VH ANZ, the Service Manager will coordinate resources from the HyService team for project execution and collaborate with Engineering, Sourcing, Logistics, Controlling, Sales, Commercial, and Field Service departments.

External interfaces include customers, suppliers, partners, and consultants.
