The Role
This is more than a traditional branch management position — it's an opportunity to operate as a business leader within a global organisation. Based across Canberra and Wagga Wagga, you will take full ownership of commercial performance, customer relationships, safety, and team leadership across a key regional market.
This role is ideal for a commercially astute leader who thrives on driving revenue, building strong industry partnerships, and leading from the front. You will bring proven B2B sales and business development capability, ideally within the trade, industrial, gas, or welding sectors.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Drive profitable revenue growth through strategic pricing, margin optimisation, and disciplined contract management
* Identify and secure new business opportunities while expanding and strengthening existing customer accounts
* Lead overall branch performance, including distribution, retail operations, inventory control, and cost management
* Build and maintain a strong market presence in gas and welding equipment through proactive industry engagement
* Monitor competitor activity and market trends, implementing commercially focused strategies to stay ahead
* Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring full compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
* Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, building capability and succession
* Deliver exceptional customer experiences through long-term partnerships and value-driven solutions
The Candidate
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes;
* Proven exeperince in BDM and B2B sales within industrial, trade, or related sectors
* Strong commercial acumen including pricing, negotiation, and contract management
* Demonstrated success in growing existing accounts and convert new opportunities
* Results-driven mindset with strong initiative and time management skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
* Experience in welding, fabrication, or industrial environments (highly regarded)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems (SAP advantageous)
* Current Driver's Licence (essential)
