Senior Engineering Manager – Atlassian
Role Summary: The Senior Engineering Manager for Growth under the Low-Touch Business Unit will build and lead engineering capability that owns the end-to-end self-serve customer acquisition journey for Jira Service Management.
You will lead a team of ***** engineers located in Australia/New Zealand, partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science, Marketing, and Sales to deliver durable increases in customer acquisition and activation, and have a strong interest in AI/ML, collaborating with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to deliver tangible business impact using cutting-edge AI/ML technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Own technical strategy and delivery for the full self-serve customer acquisition journey: awareness ? buy ? onboard ? use.
Translate product and GTM priorities into an engineering roadmap that directly improves business outcomes.
Build and coach a high-performing engineering team (individual contributors and tech leads), foster psychological safety, set hiring plans, and partner with PM, Design and DS DRIs to create clear delivery ownership.
Partner with Data Science and Analytics to instrument the funnel, run experiments/A-B tests, establish health signals and implement alerting for leading indicators of future risk.
Use funnel & cohort analysis to prioritise work with measurable revenue impact.
Lead the team beyond technical execution to focus on business and customer value.
Partner closely with Product & Design to evaluate and prototype new motions and ship minimum-viable changes that unlock non-linear growth for the business.
Strong communicator able to represent technical trade-offs and risks to executives and business partners.
