Oakhill College is an Independent Catholic Secondary School in the Lasallian tradition, located in Castle Hill, NSW. The College has an enrolment of approximately 2,250 students, with boys in Years 7 to 10 and a co-educational setting in Years 11 and 12. Permanent Full-Time Position – Commencing January
We seek to appoint an innovative English Teacher with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective English lessons, provide guidance and support to students, and contribute to their overall academic and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience in the areas of :
Ability to teach English Stages 4-6
Planning and implementing effective teaching and learning strategies
Provide a positive and engaging teaching and learning experience for students
Assessing, providing feedback, and reporting on student learning
Developing teaching programs and assessments across all stages is preferred but not essential
Working collaboratively in an English Faculty
Ability to implement new syllabi
Creating and maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment
Using effective pedagogies, a range of differentiated approaches and a variety of stimulating and interactive resources to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
Effectively managing student behaviour and maintaining an educational environment that promotes learning.
