**Job description**:
DFP Recruitment have a government client based in Belmont looking for and experienced Marketing and Communications Officer to join the team, this role is initially for 6-months with view of extension.
The role is 0.8 (FTE) and looking for someone to start immediately.
**About the role**
- Assist the Coordinator Marketing and Communications in the implementation and coordination of the Organisation's Brand Strategy communications and updated Visual Style Guide.
- Undertake graphic design work as required to produce marketing collateral such as adverts, flyers and digital marketing material.
- Assist the Coordinator Marketing and Communications with the on-going development, implementation and management of website and other electronic communication tools including social media campaigns to ensure that the organisation's online presence remains relevant and up to date.
- Assist the Coordinator Marketing and Communications with ongoing monitoring and regular audits, to ensure corporate communications adhere to the guidelines of the Style Guide and appropriate policies and guidelines.
- Provide advice internally and externally, on Style Guide, Brand Strategy, and corporate communications channels.
- Research, develop and implement communications and promotional opportunities using market research results, analytics, and trends.
- Provide administrative support to the Coordinator Marketing and Communications including ordering marketing collateral, placing advertisements, prepare general correspondence and undertake research and report preparation as required.
- Identify and form effective working relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.
**About you**
- A relevant qualification in graphic design, communications, marketing, journalism, media studies or related discipline.
- Proven experience implementing brand or communication strategies.
- Experience in graphic design
- Well-developed organisational and administrative skills with the ability to effectively prioritise multiple projects and coordinate conflicting priorities to meet strict deadlines and organisational objectives.
- Ability to work effectively under mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Current National Police Clearance Certificate (within last 3-months).
