Job Description:
Senior Legal Counsel - Workplaces
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide commercial legal advice to stakeholders across the business, ensuring compliance with legal obligations and managing risk.
* Develop and review agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to protect the rights of the organization.
* Manage external lawyer engagement to ensure cost-effective and accurate advice.
* Mentor and supervise lawyers within the Corporate Legal team.
* Stay current with legislation and best practices affecting core superannuation business, conducting research and providing training.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide strategic advice aligned with organizational goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Strong understanding of legal principles and practices.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Ability to stay up-to-date with changing legislation and best practices.
