Material Handler – Construction & Demolition
Wingfield SA | Day or Night Shift
We are recruiting Material Handlers to work at a construction and demolition recovery site in Wingfield. This is physical, hands-on work in a dusty and dirty environment. It suits people who are reliable, not afraid of hard work, and happy to work long hours.
This is not household waste. You'll be working with building materials like concrete, bricks, timber and metal.
About the job
* Sorting and handling construction and demolition materials
* Manual labour in a processing shed
* Supporting operators and supervisors on site
* Keeping the work area safe and tidy
* Following safety instructions and site rules
Shifts available
* Day shift or night shift available
* Shifts do not rotate
* Long shifts are standard and full attendance is required
This job will suit you if you
* Are physically fit and able to do repetitive manual work
* Are reliable and turn up every shift
* Are comfortable with dusty, dirty industrial work
* Can work long hours
* Take safety seriously
* Are happy to work as part of a diverse team
Language
* English speakers welcome
* Burmese speakers are encouraged to apply
* Spoken English does not need to be perfect
Experience
* Labouring, construction, demolition or recycling experience is helpful but not required
* Training will be provided for the right attitude
Requirements
* Ability to pass a medical and drug and alcohol test
* Ongoing and unrestricted work rights in Australia, or eligibility under the PALM scheme
