About the Opportunity
As the Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Financial Analysis and Reporting function, driving insights, and ensuring robust financial and management reporting while working closely with project and cross-functional teams.
Reporting to the CFO, you will provide critical support in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and operational decision-making. This role is based in our Perth office on a full-time basis. Career returners are encouraged to apply.
- Prepare and analyse monthly management reports to support decision-making processes.
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Provide detailed variance analysis and commentary on business KPI's and financial performance.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Manage Fixed Assets and Capital WIP Reconciliation, including capex evaluations and submissions, cost allocations and depreciation schedules.
- Maintain and improve financial systems and processes.
- Collaborate with project and cross-functional teams to accurately capture and report on financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies.
- Assist in ad-hoc financial projects as required.
About You
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CA qualification.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in senior management accounting role within the oil and gas industry or EPCM/Contractor environment.
- Experience using ERP systems with advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills (preferably Microsoft D365, PowerBI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively to meet targets and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels, and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Be able to demonstrate robust teamwork and collaboration skills and high personal motivation.
