ABOUT THE POSITION: The Production Coordinator supports the successful production and delivery of outstanding Museums Victoria publications, from exhibition catalogues and scientific journals to children's books (https://museumsvictoria.com.au/publishing/). Working closely with the Publishing Manager, this role coordinates workflows across the full publication lifecycle — from planning and scheduling through to print production, distribution and stock administration — ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality titles. The role also supports budgeting, print coordination, stakeholder liaison and the preparation of publishing documentation. Some of the key duties include: * Coordinate print production processes, including managing schedules, liaising with printers and overseeing delivery of stock. * Oversee freight and distribution processes for publications, including coordinating proofs, advances and shipment schedules. * Prepare and track publication schedules, milestones and workflow updates to support timely project delivery. * Assist with budget tracking and procurement processes, including quotes, purchase orders, invoices and royalty administration. * Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external contributors, printers and distributors. The successful applicant will have: * Experience coordinating projects and/or publications, with the ability to manage schedules and deliver against milestones. * Publishing experience, ideally including print production experience, and strong attention to detail. * Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. * Strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise work, solve problems and work collaboratively in a team environment. * Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat for planning, administration and budget tracking. OTHER INFORMATION This is a full time, ongoing role. The salary on offer is a VPS3.1 Base salary of $81,496 per annum (pro rata) plus 12% superannuation.
