In this rewarding volunteer role, you will:
Manage the day-to-day activities of the Curriculum and Training team, including work allocation, performance, and volunteer management.
Provide high level advice and deliverables relating to curriculum and training for the Youth Program.
Oversee the compliance of the Youth Programs curriculum with any national regulations and guidelines, and the development and maintenance of a learning management system.
Collaborate with Youth Program participants and other Youth Program volunteers to design and develop a curriculum that is best practice and aligns with the needs of both participants and other Youth Program volunteers.
Provide mentoring and support to advisors within the Curriculum and Training team.
Lead and assist in the development of policy, procedures, and guidelines relating to the Youth Program.
Lead and participate in various working groups and projects as a subject matter expert and/or representative of the Curriculum and Training team.
Lead and assist with the development and presentation of briefing papers and positions on issues relating to curriculum and training for the Youth Program.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by your manager as needed.
What we're looking for:
3+ Years experience working with children (in a paid or volunteer capacity).
Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum, training, and/or education resources, ideally in a youth context.
A sound understanding of child safeguarding and protection principles.
Demonstrated ability to manage a volunteer team.
Demonstrated high level oral and written communication ability and interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain positive long-term working relationships internally within SJAQ and with external partners.
