As a Category Development Executive, you will play a vital role in driving category growth through data‐led insights and shopper understanding.
Key Accountabilities
* Analyse scan data, shopper insights, and internal sales performance to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
* Develop clear, actionable insights on category performance, shopper behaviour, and market dynamics
* Support category reviews, range reviews, and joint business planning (JBP) processes
* Assist in building fact‐based selling stories for customer meetings and retailer engagements
* Partner with Category Development Managers to identify opportunities across range, space, and promotions
* Tailor insights and recommendations to align with individual retailer strategies and shoppers
* Support planogram development and execute range and space optimisation initiatives
* Monitor distribution, ranging compliance, and rate of sale performance
* Collaborate cross‐functionally with Sales, Marketing, RGM, Shopper Marketing, and Commercial Planning teams
* Support new product launches with category insights and track performance
* Contribute to strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
* Experience in data analysis, with the ability to turn insights into actionable recommendations
* FMCG or Liquor industry experience, ideally working with major retailers (e.g. Woolworths, Coles, Endeavour, IBA/ALM, LMG)
* Strong Excel skills (intermediate to advanced)
* Experience with category tools (e.g. Blue Yonder) and shopper/scan data highly regarded
* Excellent presentation and storytelling skills (both visual and verbal)
* Highly organised with strong planning and prioritisation capabilities
* Ability to influence and collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external customers
* Strong commercial mindset and attention to detail
