B-Roj Pty Ltd t/a B & R Auto Repairs and Service Centre is a well‐established automotive workshop based in Reservoir. We specialise in reliable repairs and thorough service across all vehicles and models including cars, 4WDs, and commercial vehicles. Known for our strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction, we handle everything from routine maintenance to more complex mechanical work with precision and care.
We are currently seeking a qualified Motor Mechanic (General) to join our team. This role is vital to supporting our service operations and upholding our commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Service, assess and repair petrol‐powered light vehicles, including major systems such as gearboxes, steering, suspension and braking components.
* Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using hands‐on inspection techniques and modern diagnostic scanning equipment.
* Remove and strip down engines and related assemblies to inspect internal components, identify wear or damage, and determine appropriate repairs.
* Replace or restore defective parts, then rebuild and refit mechanical systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
* Carry out routine servicing including oil and filter changes, lubrication, brake maintenance and engine tuning to maintain vehicle reliability and emissions compliance.
* Road test vehicles and perform final checks to ensure repairs meet performance, safety and roadworthy standards.
* Conduct vehicle inspections and, where authorised, prepare documentation outlining required repairs or confirming roadworthy compliance.
* Perform tyre and wheel services such as fitting, balancing, rotations and alignments using workshop equipment.
* Test and assess electrical systems including batteries, starter motors and charging systems.
* Accurately record completed work, parts used and labour details and assist with preparing repair estimates when required.
* Maintain a clean, organised and safety‐focused workshop environment.
* Support and mentor apprentices or junior staff as needed.
* Work cooperatively with the team to complete jobs efficiently and uphold strong customer service standards.
Skills and Educational Qualification:
* Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent).
* At least 1 year of relevant industry experience.
* Strong diagnostic and fault‐finding abilities across mechanical and electrical systems.
* Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
* Good communication skills and a customer‐focused approach.
* Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a clean and organised workshop.
