We are currently seeking an experienced Senior DevOps / DevSecOps Engineer to join a high-profile Defence program based in Adelaide, South Australia. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical national security projects within a secure and highly regulated environment.
The successful candidate will have strong hands‐on DevOps and DevSecOps experience, with the ability to design, automate, secure, and support modern cloud and infrastructure platforms while ensuring compliance with Defence security and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines with a focus on automation, security, scalability, and reliability.
Strong experience in DevOps and DevSecOps engineering.
Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
Hands‐on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, and container orchestration technologies.
Strong Linux administration and automation experience.
Experience working with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Knowledge of security hardening, vulnerability management, and secure system design principles.
Experience working within Defence, Government, or highly regulated environments.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem‐solving skills.
Security Clearance
Due to the nature of this role, applicants must hold an Australian Government Security Clearance. An active NV2 clearance is highly desirable; however, candidates holding NV1 clearance with the ability to obtain NV2 may also be considered.
