About the role

The Automation Developer sits within the Intelligent Process Automation team in the Strategy & Innovation function. This is an exciting opportunity to join a mature, award‐winning automation practice and help design, build and deploy Blue Prism automations that reduce manual effort and improve outcomes for our customers and staff.

You will work in an agile, multidisciplinary environment, partnering closely with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and deliver scalable, reliable solutions using modern automation and intelligent technologies.

Key responsibilities

As an Automation Developer, you will:

* Design, build, test and deploy end‐to‐end Blue Prism automations across the full delivery lifecycle (discovery to hypercare)
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture requirements and maintain delivery artefacts (e.g., process maps, PDD/SDD, test evidence)
* Develop and support Blue Prism digital workers using strong design standards (objects/processes, exception handling, logging) and reusable components
* Contribute to solution architecture, technical standards and reusable components, including code reviews and peer collaboration
* Support production automations (Control Room), including scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting, optimisation and continuous improvement
* Actively contribute to a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing and automation maturity
* The team's head office is based in Parramatta, and there may be an occasional requirement to attend this office to come together for purpose.

About You

To be successful in this position you will demonstrate:

* At least 3 years' hands‐on experience as a Blue Prism developer delivering production automations end‐to‐end
* Strong Blue Prism development skills (processes/objects, Work Queues, credentials, environment variables, schedules, exception handling) and familiarity with SS&C Blue Prism best practices
* Understanding of enterprise RPA delivery and support (development standards, release practices, support handover, incident/problem management)
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Nice to have: exposure to complementary technologies such as OCR/ICR, document understanding, AI, chatbots, virtual agents or human‐in‐the‐loop automation
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, computer science, business or equivalent practical experience
