Job Description
SGS is seeking a full-time facilities handyperson / caretaker. A Facilities Handyperson primarily acts as a caretaker, assisting with the maintenance of facilities in the Perth metro area.
Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To
* Undertaking general repairs throughout the facility, such as patching, painting, basic plumbing, carpentry, and preventative maintenance.
* Performing gardening duties like mowing, fertilising, planting, pruning, edging, reticulation maintenance, and weed control (in between gardener visits).
* Moving or relocating furniture, tools, equipment, stationery, etc., as required.
* Ensuring all bins are emptied daily and cleaned/disinfected as needed.
* Keeping the facility grounds clean and free of rubbish and debris.
* Liaising with the Facilities Manager regarding tools, equipment, and supply needs.
Qualifications
* Solid experience in a similar role.
* Flexible working hours to meet project requirements.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience using hand tools such as drills and hammers.
* Welding experience (preferred but not essential).
* Physically fit for the tasks involved.
* Forklift ticket is essential.
