**About Brisbane 2032**
The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games (the "Games") will be the largest event in South-East Queensland's history, with the potential to deliver transformational change to our region. As the name suggests, the Brisbane Organising Committee for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games ("Brisbane 2032") is responsible for organising the Games. Some of Brisbane 2032's operational responsibilities include: raising revenue through sponsorship, ticketing and the sale of Brisbane 2032 merchandise, sourcing the goods and services required to deliver the Games, managing the temporary overlay and operation of the venues and recruiting thousands of volunteers as well as many other elements that are essential in staging a world class global sporting event.

About the position
**Core Purpose of the Role**
The Business Development Team Member will provide business development support to Brisbane 2032, focussing on advancing Brisbane 2032's commercial strategy and overall organisational strategy, with a specific focus on supporting the securing of commercial partners. The role will initially report to the Director of Business Development. Reporting lines may change as the organisation scales.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the Director of Business Development in the implementation of the commercial strategy for Brisbane 2032 including supporting the development of planning to identify prospective partners.
- Actively seek out new and appropriate business development opportunities.
- Assisting with development of sales strategies, documentation and approaches to securing commercial partnerships.
- Manage CRM functions to track business development opportunities including managing and adding to the database of prospective commercial partners.
- Develop the reports necessary for the commercial team to track the status of business development activities.
- Support business development activities including organising and facilitating meetings and events.
**Desired Experience and Competencies**
- Strong team player
- Degree in Business/Marketing/Advertising (or related discipline)
- 2 - 4 years' relevant marketing or sales experience
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and develop these into proposals
- Experience preparing regular reporting on sales activities and pipeline status
- Experience delivering to deadlines and under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Proven commercial acumen and negotiation skills and experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and process driven
- Highly competent in Microsoft suite - Word, Excel, Powerpoint
**Relationships**
- Internal relationships: reports to Brisbane 2032 Director of Business Development and will be required to work closely with all Brisbane 2032 functional areas, in particular the marketing, legal, procurement and finance functions.
- External relationships: commercial partner prospects.
