The role of Technical Supervisor Maintenance Operations is to lead and support a team of maintenance technicians focused on troubleshooting, calibrations/adjustments, and preventive measures in electrical and control systems for automated straddle carriers used in container handling.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise day-to-day maintenance activities for electrical and control systems in straddle carriers and related equipment
* Lead and mentor electricians and diagnostic specialists to troubleshoot, repair, and optimize systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, wiring, and power distribution
* Develop and implement need-based improvements in preventive and predictive maintenance programs
* Coordinate with operations, planning, and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime and ensure service reliability
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Analyse equipment failures, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and initiate corrective actions
* Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards
* Review and initiate updates of technical documentation, schematics, and maintenance procedures
* Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new systems or modifications to existing equipment
What You Will Bring:
* A strong understanding of electrical trade principles, or degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field
* 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, preferably in port or terminal operations
* Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure
