1 x ongoing AH4 0.6 FTE position available Student Support Services help children and young people overcome learning barriers and reach their full potential. Staff collaborate with schools, students and families to improve learning, engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion through targeted strategies and specialised support. They build teacher capability, guide principals on wellbeing and learning approaches, and manage assessments and interventions for complex cases. Working in multidisciplinary Area-based teams — including psychologists, speech pathologists, and social workers — they support individuals, groups and school communities. The successful applicant will assist in the coordination of service delivery within a multidisciplinary team, assist in the implementation of evidence-based and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support in collaboration with Area and Divisional teams, provide high-level professional advice to schools that strongly influence student learning outcomes and wellbeing policies within a school community and the wider Area, provide advice and support regarding emergency management and critical incident response, and contribute to the mentoring and direction of other team members. What key qualities are we looking for? Expert advice: You will be required to provide advice that will influence the development of teaching and learning strategies and student wellbeing programs for school leadership teams to embed in their practices. Communication: We are looking for someone with highly developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills as liaison with a range of people in the education community and beyond. Flexibility: The ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and the capability to work autonomously when required. Expert interventions and collaboration: You will have the ability to undertake advanced interventions that support students and schools, work collaboratively with other professionals on complex cases including supporting teachers in the development of educational programs to improve student learning, particularly for students with additional needs. Mandatory Requirements Applications will be considered from candidates from the following disciplines who meet the mandatory requirements outlined below: * Psychologist: A graduate or post-graduate qualification in psychology and full Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). * Speech Pathologist: A graduate or post-graduate degree in speech pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia. * Social Worker: A graduate or post-graduate degree in social work or equivalent and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers. * Occupational Therapist: A graduate or post-graduate qualification in occupational therapy and full Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
