We are seeking a specialist to provide therapy services directly with the community, schools and various departments.
As an NDIS registered provider, this role involves delivering Positive Behavior Support Early Intervention services to participants under their NDIS plans.
The services will be delivered throughout Perth metro, regional and remote cities and towns across Western Australia.
About the Role
* This position is based in Canning Vale, with opportunities to support remote clients through DIDO/FIFO arrangements, subject to suitability and availability.
* The successful candidate must be willing to commit to regular travel, approximately 5-10 days per month, depending on the case load.
Key Responsibilities
* To complete indirect and direct assessments, including observations and data collection, to develop behavior support plans and functional behavioral assessments.
* To support NDIS participants with disability, their carers, family and significant others by providing training and support in interventions and strategies outlined in the behaviour support plans.
* To support participants in meeting their person-centered goals.
* To work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* To lead a team and support other core practitioners.
Requirements
* A relevant qualification in an Allied Health background or Behavioral Science, or be Board certified as a Behavior Analyst with over 2 years of experience in delivering Positive Behavior Support.
* Demonstrated experience working with complex needs and challenging behaviors.
* A current Working with Children's check, National police clearance and current driving license.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission.
