We are seeking a Mainframe Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise mainframe applications, supporting system enhancements, integrations, and production delivery within a collaborative technical team.
This is a 12-month full‐time contract role based on‐site in Darwin, NT.
What You'll Do
* Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe application code and supporting systems
* Assist in testing, debugging, and deployment of system changes
* Support integration and interface development across systems
* Participate in system release activities across development, test, and production environments
* Contribute to technical documentation and support materials
* Assist with issue resolution and production support activities
* Work collaboratively within project teams to deliver application enhancements
What You'll Bring
* Experience in mainframe application development environments
* Knowledge of COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, SQL, and related mainframe technologies
* Understanding of system development lifecycle and release processes
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve application issues
* Experience working in team-based delivery environments
* Basic understanding of integration and system interfaces
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications
* Good communication skills and willingness to learn and develop technical capability
* Exposure to enterprise or government ICT environments is highly regarded
