PositionAs the Senior Finance Officer, you will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the business while ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, reporting integrity, and smooth financial workflow management across the organisation. This role is highly varied and will involve direct exposure across accounts, contractor payments, stock and inventory accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Key ResponsibilitiesHandling credit lines for the company Managing accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, reporting Overseeing contractor and supplier payments while ensuring accuracy and compliance Managing vendor accounts, credit facilities, and payment schedules Conducting pay out audits and identifying discrepancies or irregularities Managing stock and inventory accounting processes within Xero Coordinating stocktakes and investigating inventory variances Performing daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations Supporting cash flow management and monitoring payment commitments Preparing monthly management reporting including P&L, balance sheet, reporting Supporting BAS, GST, PAYG, and compliance-related processes Improving accounting workflows, automation, reporting systems, and efficiency Liaising with external accountants, auditors, banks, suppliers, and internal stakeholders Benefits & CompensationSalary between $72,000 - $90,000 + Super Broad end-to-end accounting role with genuine ownership Stable long-term opportunity within a growing business Varied position with exposure across finance and operations Work closely with leadership and decision makers Strong autonomy and ability to make the role your own Fast-paced environment where no two days look the same Supportive team environment with long-term growth potential Experience NeededIdeally experience in VEU, Solar, Energy, Air Con, Heat Pump related Experience within a Senior Accounts, Finance Officer, Company Accountant style role Ideally hands-on experience using Xero accounting software Experience across reconciliations, AP/AR, reporting, and general accounting functions Exposure to stock or inventory accounting processes Strong attention to detail and reconciliation capability Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously Strong communication and stakeholder management skills QualificationsQualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance will be highly regarded, advantage but not essential to have CA or CPA studies started or completed.
