We have an exciting opportunity within our team for an enthusiastic Repair Technician, reporting to the Operations Manager.
Summary of Job
The repair technician is responsible for performing test, fault finding and repair and maintenance of electro‑mechanical equipment and devices at component/sub‑assembly level.
Key Accountabilities
* Perform various repair activity, diagnose test failures and perform necessary rework in order for units to pass specification requirements
* Schedule, complete and document routine maintenance on applicable manufacturing and test equipment
* Read schematics, assembly drawings, data sheets, and process sheets to perform testing, build fixtures, checkout and trouble‑shoot equipment
* Assist in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of non‑conforming manufactured product to determine root cause
* Perform tests, gather data, and write results/reports with assistance from Manufacturing Engineering, utilizing various types of electro‑mechanical equipment.
Qualifications
* Minimum Advanced Diploma of Electronics and Communications Engineering (or equivalent)
* IPC‑610/620/7711/21 Certified
Work Experience
* 5+ years' relevant experience
Advantageous
* Experience in Defence Manufacturing environment
* Experience in ESD controlled environment
* Experience in AS9100 certified environment
* Experience using ERP systems (currently using QAD)
Suitability
* Good understanding of quality control & process engineering principles
* High attention to detail and quality focus
* Solid computer literacy and data entry skills – proficient with current Microsoft Office
* Intermediate–Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Strong verbal and written communication ability
* High ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure & organize time
Must be an Australian Citizen and can obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
Must satisfy police checks and employment screening verification including employment reference checks.
Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulation (ITAR) which in some circumstances can place limitations on persons who hold dual nationality, permanent residency or are former nationals of certain countries as per ITAR 126.1.
