London or Ipswich (UK) – onsite, 5 days per week, 37.5 hours per week. Ability to obtain DV clearance and have lived in the UK for 10+ years is required.

As a member of our network engineering team you’ll play a leading role in a growing team responsible for designing and implementing world‑class customer‑focused network solutions, from bespoke to large enterprise deployments. The role offers the chance to work directly with end customers, understand their requirements and lead the design of solutions that protect society and improve lives.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Lead the creation of high and low level network designs for complex IP networks.
- Hands‑on implementation of these solutions using vendor products such as Cisco.
- Work directly with customers to understand their requirements and inform your solutions.
- Collaborate with support teams to enable management and ongoing support of deployed solutions.
- Provide third line support to deployed solutions.
- Provide support to other project team members, setting the technical direction for their deliveries.

Required Experience

- Experience designing, building and providing third‑line support for complex IP networks that are secure, scalable, resilient and high performing.
- Ability to set technical direction for complex, potentially large network solutions, creating both high and low level designs.
- Knowledge of network design for security, including firewalls, IDS and IPS.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Desire to continually update, enhance and validate own skills.

Additional Desired Experience

- Experience with enterprise and operator‑scale routing design (OSPF, IS‑IS, BGP, LDP or RSVP).
- Experience in automation and Software‑Defined Networking (e.g., Cisco DNAC, Ansible); not mandatory but supported.
- Experience managing internal and external stakeholder engagement.
- Certification in a network engineering discipline such as CISCO CCNP Routing and Switching (desirable, but practical experience with vendors like Cisco is more important).
