As a Broadcast Support Technician at Seven, you’ll play a key role in supporting and maintaining our editing and design production facilities at Seven’s state-of-the-art Eveleigh site in Sydney.
In this role, you’ll work on a rotating roster to meet operational needs, liaise directly with internal clients, and use your people skills to troubleshoot and prioritise issues.
Based in Eveleigh, Sydney, and reporting to Head of Technical Services, you will have the following tasks:
* Administering and supporting a wide range of systems and workstations, including Active Directory, Adobe Creative Suite, Avid Media Composer, Avid MediaCentral Production Management, Avid Pro Tools, Autodesk Flame, Omnissa Horizon, Quantum Stornext, Signiant Flight Deck and Media Shuttle, Telestream Vantage, and VMware vSphere
* Troubleshooting and resolving critical system faults, as well as planning and executing scheduled upgrades
* Managing post-production and design workstations, storage, asset management, and associated systems
* Contributing to system design, installation, and commissioning projects
* Ensuring reliability and performance of jointly supported systems in collaboration with other teams
About You:
You will be an experienced Broadcast Support Technician with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. You demonstrate keen attention to detail, a proactive and innovative approach, and a strong customer focus. Tech-savvy and adaptable, you thrive under pressure and excel in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
You will have:
* Knowledge of television technology fundamentals and ability to use television tools and measuring equipment
* Basic understanding of electronics, elementary Windows and Linux administration as well as an understanding of IP network fundamentals
* Previous experience in a broadcast engineering or support role is preferable
* Experience with Avid Editing Systems highly regarded
* Ability to work well in a team, understand abstract signal paths, and proven documentation skills
* Project management experience, advanced IT administrationm skills, programmaing or scripting experience and installation experience all highly desirable
