Are you looking for a rewarding role in a friendly, community-focused environment? Tumby Bay Health Service is seeking a Services Assistant to join our casual pool. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, catering, and overall smooth running of our health services while working within a supportive team.
About the Role
As a Services Assistant, your key responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, preparing and serving meals to patients, and assisting with laundry duties. You will ensure a safe and clean environment by performing tasks such as mopping, dusting, washing, and window cleaning. You may also assist with food preparation, including preparing meals and delivering food trays to patients. Your role will support the overall functioning of the hospital, contributing to the comfort and well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness across Tumby Bay Health Service
* Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and rubbish disposal
* Assist with laundry duties, including collection and delivery of linen
* Support catering tasks like meal preparation and food delivery to patients
* Work independently and as part of a team, ensuring efficient service delivery
Applicant Information
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
* National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
