About you
We are looking for a Welding General Hand to be responsible for ensuring the factory deliverables are met.

About the role
This position is a varied role and will require you to work in various areas within the factory, including but not limited to; welding of product, maintenance and repairs, R&D, dispatch, QA and stock control.
* Lay out, cut, fit, measure and weld products to desired shape
* Inspect and test welds for durability as well as meeting specified standard
* Examine parts of defects and measure parts to ensure conformance with specifications
* Inspect/maintain all products/equipment to ensure they meet with National OHS standards
* Ensure correct stock levels and accurate inventory, including forecasting shortages
* Proactively plan deliveries and liaise with Transport companies
Minimum Requirements
* Literacy, numeracy and sound computer skills
* Experience in structural steel fabrication (desirable)
* Welding experience (MIG)
* Minimum 6-12 months of MIG welding experience required
* Forklift Licence
* Current and valid Forklift Licence required at commencement date
* MR Truck Licence (preferable)
* Ability to read/work off plans and blueprint
* Australian work authorisation required for this position
