About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technician to join our dedicated BYD service centre in Osborne Park. This is a full-time role, offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus upon completion of your six-month probation.
Reporting directly to the BYD Service Manager, you'll be responsible for the general servicing, maintenance, and repairs of BYD electric vehicles. You'll play a key role in supporting the growth of EV servicing in Australia, while also applying your skills to everyday mechanical work.
Your day-to-day will include:
General servicing, maintenance, and repairs of vehicles (including electric)
Planning and completing jobs efficiently and effectively
Identifying and repairing technical issues
Recommending additional work as required
Ordering parts where necessary from the Parts Department
Ensuring quality, timely work in line with manufacturer and dealership standards
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, reliability, and efficiency, with a positive attitude.
Ideally, you will bring:
Automotive Technician qualification (essential)
Willingness to learn and upskill in the EV space
Previous EV experience highly regarded but not essential
Strong communication and organisational skills
A keen eye for detail and ability to work in a team environment
Confidence to adapt and maintain change in a busy environment
Valid Australian working rights and current driver's licence
