About the Role

As an APS6 Project Officer, you will undertake complex projects, providing operational, policy, and technical support. You will develop project plans, coordinate reporting, and assist in strategy and consultation activities. This role involves stakeholder engagement, preparing briefs and reports, and supporting project quality and risk management across multiple initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and consultation activities
- Prepare business cases, reports, executive briefs, and corporate documentation
- Coordinate regular project reporting, including status updates and exception reports
- Monitor project budgets, support procurement, and assist with contract management
- Identify and assist with managing project risks, issues, and benefits
- Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience in project management within a government or public sector environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing high-quality briefs and reports
- Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making abilities in dynamic settings
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
- Experience engaging with stakeholders and supporting consultation or workforce engagement activities highly regarded
- Competence with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
- Understanding of disability, health, allied health, or related sectors is desirable; data or analytics experience a bonus

Existing Baseline security clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.
