DSV Air & Sea is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Senior Team Lead, Export Sea in Melbourne.
As the Senior Team Lead, the individual will provide support and guidance to team members while managing the department's KPIs and assisting the Sea Freight Manager as needed. The Senior Team Lead will ensure efficient operations, allocate workloads, and maintain a high level of departmental productivity. They will serve as the primary point of contact for staff and the first escalation point within the Export Sea Team for the broader business.
Your typical day at DSV:
* Lead and Support the Team - Provide guidance and oversight to ensure the Export Sea team meets KPIs and delivers high-quality, accurate work.
* Monitor Performance and Profitability - Track export workflows and job profitability, ensuring processes are efficient and cost-effective.
* Manage Workflow and Processes - Coordinate export operations in line with SOPs, customer requirements, and management directives.
* Build Strong Relationships - Engage with customers, suppliers, and service providers locally and internationally to maintain smooth operations.
* Resolve Issues and Drive Improvements - Act as the first point of escalation for export-related challenges and implement process enhancements.
* Collaborate with Leadership - Assist the Sea Freight Manager with daily activities, projects, and strategic initiatives.
About you:
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and problem-solve effectively.
* Detail-oriented, resilient, and proactive, with a commitment to continuous improvement and meeting deadlines.
* Minimum5 years' experience in Export Sea Freight, with strong industry knowledge.
* Proven leadership experience, managing teams and driving performance.
* Proficient in CargoWise One and skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
