Senior Mental Health Clinician (Early Years)

HiTalent Recruitment is seeking a Senior Mental Health Clinician - Social Worker, Psychologist or Registered Counsellor to join a PHN funded Program in Tamworth. This role is a part-time permanent (3-4 days per week), with access to salary packaging benefits, supervision and support.

Are you a compassionate and skilled mental health professional with a desire to support children up to the age of 12 ?

We are working exclusively with a well-respected not-for-profit organisation to seek a dedicated Senior Mental Health Clinician to join their team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in providing recovery based care and psychological therapies to children manage mental health challenges around school, life events and family circumstances.

Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be responsible for:

Conduct risk assessments and deliver mental health care services, including evidence-based psychological therapies and wellbeing interventions such as art or play therapy, tailored to the needs of the child and family.

Provide therapeutic support, goal setting and mentoring to families.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to a child's care.

Actively participate in individual and group supervision in addition to professional development activities.

Contribute to program development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Uphold organisational values and policies while maintaining a commitment to quality service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

A tertiary degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling with APHRA, ACA, PACFA or AASW registration

Minimum 3-4 years of experience working with clients experiencing mental health challenges.

Demonstrated proficiency in delivering trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
