About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Sales Estimator, you'll be at the heart of our sales operations – managing customer enquiries, preparing accurate quotes, and working closely with our internal teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery. This role is well suited to someone with experience in the steel processing industry who enjoys building strong relationships and turning opportunities into results.
What you'll be doing
* Manage inbound customer enquiries via phone and email with a focus on service and sales conversion
* Prepare, submit, and follow up on customer quotes
* Process and manage orders using Primecut and Epicor software
* Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand requirements and provide tailored solutions
* Work with the Senior Sales Estimator and Operations Manager to ensure efficient and cost-effective production
* Identify opportunities to grow accounts and support new business development
What We're Looking For
* Proven sales and customer service experience in the steel processing industry (essential)
* Experience in Plasma Sales (essential)
* Experience in Tube Laser Sales (highly regarded but not essential)
* Knowledge of nesting software – Primecut experience highly regarded
* 2D CAD skills – ability to draw from hand sketches and PDF drawings
* Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
* Strong written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with ERP or SAP systems (advantageous)
