Job Description
ACCIONA Agua seeks a Senior Process Engineer to join the Technical Services national team. This role focuses on leading process and mechanical engineering activities for water treatment projects: wastewater, drinking water, and desalination plants.
Responsibilities
* Lead process engineering activities across major water infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient design, planning, and execution of process systems.
* Develop project methods: prepare detailed flow diagrams, sketches, and drawings; review and validate designs; apply critical‑thinking to analyze data and recommend solutions; anticipate and resolve issues; generate innovative ideas; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams; share process improvements.
* Manage project schedules: analyze schedules to identify critical paths; develop a work breakdown structure; assess logistics; track design packages; prepare cost and resource estimates; define performance outcomes and reporting; identify and mitigate risks; engage stakeholders.
* Manage construction engineering activities: implement planned steps and methods for installation and commissioning; ensure compliance with safety standards; assess work outcomes and share lessons learned; apply specialized knowledge of process systems.
* Apply digital engineering tools: use digital models for spatial awareness; detect and resolve clashes with BIM; perform accurate quantity take‑offs and material estimates.
Required Skills and Competencies
* Degree in Industrial, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in process design for desalination or water treatment.
* Strong knowledge of membrane projections and digital engineering environments.
* Excellent communication skills; ability to work autonomously and in teams.
* Flexibility to travel interstate and overseas.
* Spanish language skills are an advantage.
