We're searching for a proactive, adaptable, and communicative Web Developer who thrives in frontend development, has a solid understanding of backend tasks, and is excited about taking on more responsibility as you grow into a leadership role.
Main Responsibilities
Build and deploy websites primarily on WordPress and Shopify.
Translate provided designs (Adobe XD) into fully functional, responsive websites.
Use builders such as Breakdance and Divi (experience preferred).
Deploy Shopify websites, creating custom designs with bespoke sections and code when required.
Strong understanding of Shopify and WordPress, their limitations and plugins/apps.
Review and work with websites built on other platforms when needed.
Troubleshoot challenges effectively and provide solutions that stay within scope and align with project goals.
Implement frontend features and handle backend tasks when required (e.g., custom functionality, integrations).
Collaborate directly with clients when needed, communicating clearly and professionally.
Maintain existing websites and web applications, including updates, fixes, and improvements.
Create custom scripts or lightweight code solutions when required.
Stay up to date with new technologies, best practices, and AI-assisted development workflows.
Assist in digital marketing or related tasks when required.
Contribute to process improvements and, over time, support or lead a small development team.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar web development role.
Demonstrated experience with WordPress, Shopify, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
Experience converting high-fidelity designs (Adobe XD or equivalent) into live sites.
Experience using or willingness to learn Breakdance and Divi.
Exposure to or interest in AI tools for development and workflow optimisation.
