TP Human Capital is recruiting an experienced Electrical Construction Coordinator for a major underground metalliferous mining project in the Philippines. This high-profile role involves mentoring and coaching frontline Filipino Electrical Construction Coordinators, while overseeing underground HV electrical construction works. Candidates must have experience in underground metalliferous dewatering, HV infrastructure, ventilation, or paste reticulation systems. You will work back-to-back on a critical dewatering, ventilation, and paste reticulation project, supporting multiple contracting partners and ensuring safe, efficient delivery.
About the Opportunity
* Roster: 20 days on / 10 days off, plus 4 travel days (2 each side of swing) – 8 hours paid per travel day
* 12-hour shifts per day
* Flights provided from Australia
* Private accommodation with ensuite and full camp facilities (dry camp, gym, laundry)
* 12-month contract through TP Human Capital
* Visa arrangements managed by the client
* Project already underway – immediate start available
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Construction Superintendent, you will:
* Mentor and coach Filipino Electrical Construction Coordinators, ensuring compliance with HSE policies
* Coordinate and oversee underground HV electrical construction activities to scope, budget, and schedule
* Promote safety awareness, conduct field safety interactions, and implement the 12 Lifesaving Commitments at prestart
* Review and issue red line marked electrical and As Built drawings prior to commissioning and handover
* Assist with testing and inspection plans, ensuring commissioning documentation is complete and accurate
* Liaise with Operations and contractors to minimize production impact and support capital works delivery
* Maintain daily records of progress, incidents, milestones, and site activities, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
What We're Looking For
* Current Australian Electrical Licence – mandatory
* High Voltage (HV) switching / authorisation – mandatory
* Experience in underground metalliferous dewatering, HV infrastructure, ventilation, or paste reticulation systems – mandatory
* 5+ years project construction experience
* Strong leadership, mentoring, and team coordination skills
* Ability to work autonomously and with multi‑cultural teams
* Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and excellent planning/organizing/prioritization
* Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance
* Ability to work internationally (Philippines‑based rotation)
* Current Australian passport
* Ability to meet pre‑employment medical, drug, and background checks
Desirable
* Engineering degree or similar tertiary qualification
* Formal training/qualification in MS Project
* Experience mentoring multi‑cultural teams and driving project momentum on complex electrical scopes
