About the Role
Seeking an enthusiastic and client-focused Exercise Physiologist to deliver exercise physiology services as part of the multidisciplinary Better Care in the Community Team.
The successful applicant will contribute to comprehensive, integrated services supporting individuals with chronic and complex conditions - helping people achieve their goals, avoid hospitalisation, and safely return to the community.
This is a temporary, part-time position servicing the Northern Yorke Peninsula, including Wallaroo, Kadina, Maitland, and Point Pearce.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering one-on-one, group-based, and health promotion activities to individuals with cardiac, metabolic, respiratory, and other chronic diseases.
- Using evidence-based practice to plan, implement, and evaluate high-quality interventions in line with local health needs.
- Managing personal workload and contributing to allocation of team resources.
- Providing clinical support and guidance to less experienced staff, assistants, and students.
- Maintaining accurate client records and documentation in accordance with statutory and policy standards.
- Engaging in service development, quality improvement, and reflective professional development.
Essential Criteria
- Recognised degree in Exercise Physiology or relevant Allied Health profession.
- Eligibility for practicing membership with the relevant Professional Association.
- Relevant clinical experience, ideally in rural/remote or multidisciplinary health settings.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
- Flexibility to travel across the Northern Yorke Peninsula, including a current driver’s licence.
- Satisfactory National Police Check, Working With Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screening.
- Commitment to client-centred and culturally safe practice.
Special Conditions
- Some after-hours work, travel on country roads and light aircraft may be required.
- Must comply with immunisation and credentialling requirements.
